Educated in technical communications and with a passion for design, in 1992 I left my position as a senior technical writer for Dictaphone Corporation and founded WriteDesign, a consulting business in Melbourne, Florida. The focus of the business was to design marketing materials such as brochures and catalogs, and to write technical manuals and user guides. We worked primarily for high-tech, financial, manufacturing, and real estate companies.
In 1997, I moved to San Francisco where I continued to help companies with their writing and design projects as an independent contractor on an as-needed basis. I worked from my studio at Hunters Point.
